Going to Florence!
Part 1 out of a 7 part blog series for my two month journey in Florence, Italy. It will consist of what I learn about wine, vineyards and culture abroad.
There and Back Again... An Italian Tale
It's about one week before my long awaited journey to Florence and I could not be more excited. This is finally time I will be able to learn about wine the right way. The Italian way.
I waited my whole life for this opportunity and I just had to seize the moment!
My trip will last about two months and is going to be filled with many excursions to vineyards around the Tuscan Region. I also have plans to visit wineries all over Italy as well as in neighboring countries. These places include Venice, Turin, Sienna, San Gimignano, Naples, Switzerland and Spain!

More Wine!!
Critically acclaimed to have one of the best wine regions in the world
Tuscany, located right outside of Florence is known to have one of the most world renown wines. The Chianti.
It will be the experience of a lifetime -Joe
The Chianti is usually a mixture of three different grapes: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Malvasia bianca. The Standout grape in the blend is sangiovese! It has a fresh fruity flavor with a little bit of spiciness. It is the main grape I will be studying in Florence.
